Togo suspends churches, mosques and interdicts public activities

Earlier today, the government of the Republic of Togo has released a communique stating that due to the unfavourable condition the pandemic COVID-19 is putting before the entire nation, it has become necessary to apply strict and restrictive measures to help save the good people of the nation. Hence below are the measures put in place.
a. Interdiction of all cultural, sportive and political activities for a period of one month starting from today, 10th September, 2021
b. Interdiction of all marriage celebrations, religious and traditional activities for a period of one month starting from today, 10th September, 2021
c. Closure of all places of worship for a period of one month starting from today, 10th September, 2021
d. Interdiction of funerals
e. People who wish to perform funeral rites should first go for permit( such rites should have more than 15 people involved ).
f. Closure of big bars, night clubs and disco
