Luis Suarez refused to celebrate his goal against Barcelona, but he did make a 'calling' gesture. Many supposed that it was addressed at Ronald Koeman, who back in 2020, told the Uruguayan he didn't count on him via the phone.
Seems like the Uruguayan took revenge against Ronald Koeman by 'calling' him after scoring a goal.
On the contrary, Suarez explained after the game that this was not the case.
"It was for the people who have my number, who know that it remains the same, that I have not changed it. Because of Koeman? No," Luis said laughing.
"Today's game was special for me, considering all the times I have spent at Barcelona. I'm happy with this win. It is always important to win, especially against a team like them."
Barca became the 31st La Liga team that Suarez scored against, meaning that he has now scored past every team he's faced in the league.
As a reminder, the 34-year-old was very much unhappy about Koeman's decision to kick him out in 2020 while the Catalan board were said to consider him 'too old'.
