Who Am I?

Who Am I?
The question of identity is one that has plagued the minds of many individuals, both dead and alive. Great men of old, sages, and scholars alike, have had their fair share of the torment of identity.
Why is it so hard to know who we are? I look around and hear many voices telling us who we are. The society, the culture, the governing authorities, the scientists, the parents, the religious bodies, the peers, the friends and loved ones all seem to impose a certain kind of identity on us. I'm definitely not leaving out our own perceptions of our identity.
I believe you'd agree with me that whoever makes something reserves the right to give it an identity. The issue is, if we believe we're a cosmic accident, a random collection of atoms over aeons of years, then there's definitely no way we would have an identity. Hence, we would be no more than a flower in the open field which just blooms and wastes away the next moment. This is really depressing (no wonder there's a lot of depressed people, especially in the Western civilization).
Identity gives value. Identity is the product of who we are, and most importantly, whose we are. You're a royal because of the family you're born into (whose you are). We mostly define who we are by what we do, and this is very problematic cos we're human BEINGS, not human DOINGS!
If we believe we're created, then we can know our identity from "who" made us and the "purpose" for which we were made. If there is one who knows us, it's our Creator. He said, "I've made you in my image, to rule over the earth with Him". Our identity is found in our Creator who revealed Himself to us in Christ Jesus. So the sages of old said, and the Apostle Paul quoted, "For we're His offspring, and in Him we live and move and have our being."
In Christ we find our identity. The songwriter says, "In Him I find my worth, in Him I find my identity."
Who are you?!
Christ is the Lord.
I am created in the image of my. Creator and in Him I have my unique identify
