The real satisfaction of identifying one’s talent actually lies within the spectrums of how one harnesses this conscious and subconscious process of identifying, developing, and utilizing their creative talents to make a positive impact in and around the world. My desire at the moment is to provide a free and accessible hub that showcases individuals with remarkable talents within the lengths and breadths of the world, especially Ghana. It is out of this desire that today, the spotlight is on Eldeezy -- a Ghanaian Hip hop, afro-pop, and rap artiste.
Born in Kwahu in the Eastern Region of Ghana as Andy Osei Peprah, Eldeezy lives at Adenta, a suburb of Accra. He had his second cycle and tertiary education in Mpraeso Senior High school and the University of Cape Coast respectively where he majored in Film Studies.
The young versatile act who is currently under the management of Xterling Entertainment is well known for his conscious lyrical content and rap style which he delivers effortlessly in the blend of Twi and English.
In December of 2020, Eldeezy released his second Extended Play titled “Soul Tape†– an eight-track EP that is themed exclusively on self-preservation and elevation, love and spiritual sanctity, hard work, and perseverance.
Ambiancemedia has this to say about the tape, “…the addition of traditional sounds; chanting and accolade performances typical in indigenous oral tradition in Ghana heightens the feel of soul and spirituality that this album seeks to exert. The use of instrumentals shows that he is open, even as a hip-hop artist, to different forms of music. This makes his work more assorted, thus exciting to consume.†You could also have a feel of this great piece of work via this link https://fanlink.to/soultape
After taking a long break working behind the scenes, Eldeezy features DE7, another rare talent in Ghana’s creative industry on his new single titled “FEARâ€. According to him, “Fear†is a hip-hop rap song that talks about the anxiety of an ambitious talent. And interestingly, after taking the time to listen to the song myself, I feel the “fear†too because many are the dreams and ambitions of both the old and young yet for the latter group of people (youth), it is becoming more and more unrealistic and the majority tend to give up on even their natural talents along the way. But as usual, Eldeezy’s fear is not meant to cast fear but to highlight the deep and personal struggles of the youth while still motivating everyone to push beyond the fears they have.
