GOD MADE MAN

GOD MADE MAN
God created man because of His love for great stories
Says the old saint whose journey draws near to an end
"Eden is in the past!", he says
Sin initiated the crisis that swallows this universe
Man lost his standing with His Maker
The holy God descends to rescue
A mission climaxed on the cross
The sacrifice that redeemed creation
Brining unity and intimacy
God and man dine once again
Yet this universe is passing away
With it's horrors and sufferings
Making way for the perfect
Recreated in glory and splendor
The Heavenly Jerusalem
There we'll reign with Christ
Who will come again
And gather unto Himself His own
Weeping will be no more
Are we there yet?
We're living in the "already, but not yet
Carried in His arms of love
Surrounded by tender mercies and grace
We do not lose heart
Though we outwardly waste away
We're inwardly renewed by the passing of the day
These light and momentary troubles
Works for us an eternal glory
For we set our gaze on the unseen
That which is unseen is everlasting
We put our faith in Jesus!
