2023 NSMQ final rescheduled
The National Science & Maths Quiz's Primetime Limited organisers have set a new date for the 2023 edition's final.
The event will be scheduled initially at Accra's National Theatre on Tuesday, October 24, the 30th-anniversary edition's ultimate contest.
However, the organisers say it has been postponed in honour of the late Ga Manye, Naa Dedei Omaedru III, and by custom.
A statement released on Thursday, October 19, stated that the Grand Finale would now occur at the National Theatre on October 31, 2023.
Achimota School, a senior high school in the Greater Accra Region, has already qualified for the championship. They qualified for the final on Thursday by defeating St. Louis SHS and Wesley Girls SHS in the first semifinal.
With great hopes that record-winning Presbyterian Boys' School will also attend, Opoku Ware School from the Ashanti Region has also reserved a spot. The final semi-final matchup pits the Presecans against Mfantsipim and Keta Sec Tech.
The Ga Mantse, the chiefs, and the people of the entire Ga state were all sent condolences by the organisers "during the period of mourning."
