Hypocrisy of politics

Scratch my back and let me scratch your back attitude by our political class must stop immediately.
I asked this question when the issue concerning the approval of emoluments of the executive arm of government came up.I would like to ask similar question again. Who approves the emoluments of the legislature?
Per the entrenched clause in Ghana’s 1992 constitution, it is the executive arm of government that approves the emoluments of the legislature.
What exactly goes into the approval of conditions of service, emoluments and other incentives of our MPS, before and during the process of approval ? What cost benefit analysis does the executive do during the approval stage? Do successive executives consider the people like Teachers, Assembly members, Nurses and other workers? Or the the usual scratch my back and let me also scratch your back?
I am all for better conditions of service for all arms of government but, I think the current arrangements are outrageous and excessive looking at the situation we found ourselves as a country; covid, bad roads, school under trees etc.
In fact, when I first heard our finance minister had tabled a loan of $28 million to be used to finance the purchase of cars for our legislators ,I was all for it, because it is a loan.
Little did I know it's a "krokro de John". Loan is a borrowed money that is expected to be paid back with or without an interest. So if a percentage of 60 is going be paid by me (Tax payer),then it ceases to be call a loan.
With this I have changed my earlier position for supporting "car loan".
There are a lot of pressing issues our government need money to address. Bad roads are killing hundreds of Ghanaians, pupils still sit under trees. Farmers and young entrepreneurs are struggling to access loans. So why krokro de John loan for our mps?
If government could grant "krokro de John loan" to Mps, then he should remember the donkey workers "Assembly members"they are suffering down there.
As matter of fact, we have to take a second look of Article 71 of our constitution. This shouldn't be the usual NPP, NDC tussle. The earlier we solve this issue the better for us all.
