Government to buy 6 aircraft for Ghana Armed Forces worth over €111m.

The Ministry of Defence has placed in parliament for approval of €111 million agreement that will allow for the purchase of six aircraft for the Ghana Armed Forces.
The deal with AERO Vodochody AIROSPACE a.s. of the Czech Republic includes support services for the six aircraft.
This will see the company supply six (6) L-39 Next Generation (L-39NG) aircraft and the provision of support in terms of products and services, and ground-based training systems associated with the aircraft operation.
Explicitly, the agreement is worth €111,393,400.00 and was laid in Parliament on Monday.
The Speaker of Parliament , Alban Bagbin has directed the agreement to the Defence and Interior Committee of the house for further deliberation and report.
