What Does God Think Of You?

GOD'S THOUGHTS OF YOU
Genesis 18:18-19
18 Since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.â€
Many Christians today are concerned about what people think about them. It’s okay; we live with people and cannot say we do not care about what they think about us. At the same time the Bible cautions us against becoming men-pleasers instead of having a good testimony before God.
If the good things men say about you agrees with what God says, that is commendable, but if God’s knowledge of who you are conflicts with the good things people say about you, that becomes a matter of concern.
This passage is about God’s testimony about Abraham. God’s testimony was that Abraham feared Him and would instruct his entire household to fear Him the same way. For God to come out to say this about Abraham meant that Abraham was doing well in that dimension of his life.
Have you come before God and asked Him to evaluate you and tell you about yourself? There is no point to be afraid. When God sees something wrong with you, it is not to condemn you like the devil does; but rather, it is an opportunity to provide healing and transformation. If He gives a positive testimony, it becomes an opportunity for worship and more commitment to Him. Yearn for God’s testimony about you.
Prayer
1. Thank God for working in your life to make you a better version of yourself with every coming day.
2. Pray that you will yield totally to God to make you a better person than you are now.
3. Father, please continue Your good work in me till I have become like Jesus.
